ESAP students are traditionally housed in Hill College House, a low-rise, typical first-year residence hall. This air-conditioned residence hall provides a comfortable balance of privacy and camaraderie in central locations. Students will stay in traditional double-style dormitory rooms. Each student is provided with the following furniture: extra-long twin bed, desk, desk chair, and dresser. Due to space constraints, any additional furniture, other than a lamp, is discouraged. The following items are NOT provided: sheets, pillows, blankets, towels, soap (laundry, dish, and bath), wastebasket, alarm clock, phone, or computer. Amenities such as linens can be requested and ordered in the residential portal before arriving at the program. Residential Assistants (RAs), supervised by a full-time Residential Director in the dorms and instructors in the classrooms, are current Penn undergraduates who live in the dorms with the students live in the dorms with the students, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure a safe, engaging, and inclusive community experience.
Hill College House is a low-rise First Year Community located on the east side of Penn’s campus with convenient access to academic buildings, as well as Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station. Students live in traditional dormitory-style rooms in double rooms located in one of the four quadrants of the House.With lounges built around the vast central atrium overlooking the dining café below, students engage with the community supported by the four pillars: empower, explore, engage, and express.

Students with special dietary needs can be accommodated, however, the offerings may be limited due to the summer schedule. More information will be provided at the time of enrollment for admitted students.
